This overview is about natal planets OUT-OF-BOUNDS. OOB is a status that has to do with the declination degree of your natal planets (including the luminaries). The degree of declination at which a planet goes from being within bounds to OOB is 23º27' (either + or - for degrees/minutes numbered 23º27' or higher; meaning, even a -24º11' would be OOB, because, yes, it's a negative number, but still "past" the degree of declination that creates OOB status, astronomically).

We ALL experience planets going OOB throughout our lives due to 2ndary progression. That's outside the scope of this convo, but you'll notice in the vid walk-thru that I do mention the ages at which planets move OOB in my life, all visible at the calculator linked below.

WHY OOB MATTERS
When a planet is out-of-bounds, it doesn't know how to act. It didn't get the guidebook on how to be itself. It's a Moon that *never* feels safe. It's a Mercury that can't always communicate the way it wants to. A Venus that can't easily connect to the concepts of love, money, and enoughness. And so on.

Throughout our lives, when our natal planets go OOB by 2ndary progression, we may feel out of sorts, unmoored, confused about the areas those planets tend to rule. Remember our formula: The PLANET is the WHAT, the SIGN is the HOW, and the HOUSE is WHERE it all shows up in life. An OOB planet by 2ndary progression shifts its WHAT for a period of time in our lives (usually a few years).

When planets go OOB in general (out in the daily woo weather — something you can track at Astro-Seek or on your Aligned Hustle Calendar), we may ALL feel a little out of sorts with issues related to that planet's rulership. It's like a worldwide reset on the rules of the WHAT of that particular planet that lasts a few days up to a few months at a time!

The important part for our natal chart scorecard process is whether we have anything OOB natally.

Using the Out-of-Bounds Calculator that I showed off in the vid walk-thru, determine whether you have any natal planets out-of-bounds. If so, each planet gets a BOO on your overall chart health scorecard. There are no YAYs to give out for this item. So, in the case of my husband's natal OOB Moon (in the vid), that's a BOO for his Moon on the natal chart health scorecard he's tallying. I receive NOTHING (no YAYs, no BOOs, nada), as nothing was OOB at my birth.
